Requirements for DCI Recruitment 2025
You’ll have to meet the following requirements to apply for DCI recruitment for 2025:
• Only police officers from the rank of Chief Inspector or below can apply.Y
• You must have worked in the National Police Service for at least 5 years.Y
• You must have KCSE mean grade of C (plain) and C in English or Kiswahili.
• You must have a Diploma or Degree in a related course like IT, pure sciences, social sciences, or applied sciences.
• You must show true interest in investigative work.
• You must be below 40 years old when applying.
• You must have no bad disciplinary record.

How to Apply for DCI Recruitment 2025
The following are step-by-step guide on how to apply for DCI recruitment in 2025:
1. Visit the official recruitment portal and create an account.
2. Use your National ID, phone number, and email to register.
3. Log into your account and fill the form.
4. Enter your personal details and school details (e.g., KCSE).
5. Upload required documents like:

• Academic certificates

6. Submit your application online.
Important Note About Joining DCI
You cannot join DCI directly as a new civilian applicant.
You must first be trained and confirmed as a police officer then later apply internally to move into DCI when the chance comes.
After Shortlisting
If you are shortlisted:
• You will attend physical screening in your sub-county.
• You must pass tests and document checks.
• Successful candidates will be sent for full police training.
• After training, you will work as a police officer first.
• When you gain experience and have a clean record, you can later apply to join DCI units.
